The charm of he Karan Johar house has worked again as Karan Malhotra's directing debut made it possible for the film Agneepath a success and it has pretty much raked in a huge amount of money within the first couple of days. The major event of 26th January was the day when the film released and it was significant as the film virtually had no competition from any other movie. As a result the film got huge openings at the box offices around India and raked in a sum of around 25 Crore INR at the end of the first day, making it the first film in India that has actually made the largest collection on its first day of release, leaving behind Bodyguard, which previously held the record with 21 Crore INR.

Though predictions go that the sales are likely to drop on Friday, however, it is supposed to recover on the weekend, which is going to be a big one for the film, ensuring a huge box office boom for the film. Though the film has received mixed reviews from critics, good acting from the lead actors, sound dialogues and a captivating cinematography makes the film a good watch.
