The new movie Heroine from Madhur Bhandarkar is going to be the story of a heroine's rise and fall in Bollywood. After The Dirty Picture, it seems that Bhandarkar would be now venturing into the world of Bollywood, after a successful venture in Page 3, Corporate crowd, and the world of Fashion. Madhur Bhandarkar said that the story would show off Kareena Kapoor in a way which is quite unique and this is going to be the first time she would be portrayed in a role such as this. Her role is going to be extensive and very well defined.

On the other hand, Arjun Rampal told the media that the film would have a beautiful love story in it between the heroine and him, and it would also show off how reality often intervenes in the form of society and forms a barrier between two people who love each other. He also said that his role was going to be complex and definitely different from his previous ones, and it would be yet another feather in his cap. Previously Rampal had asked to change the script of the film to accommodate his role in a better way. The film is supposed to be released in September.
