With the new Reema Kagti film Talaash, it looks like actor-director Farhan Akhtar also turns producer. The director of Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. decided to make a suspense drama with Aamir Khan in the main role. Though Reema Kagti had another script in mind at first when she approached Aamir, it quickly dissolved to make way for a film like Talaash which is a extremely complex tale about the human psyche. The film features Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor in the two female leads with Aamir Khan. Farhan Akhtar told the media he was happy to produce the film.

Apart from the production this year Farhan would be acting as well. His new film is called Bhag Milkha Bhag, which is a biopic about the life of legendary Olympic runner Milkha Singh who till date remained an untold hero. However, this will be rectified with Farhan's portrayal of the runner, and to authenticate himself the actor has grown a beard and is running every day to keep up in shape. He told the media that he wanted to make this role look as authentic as possible and he also met up with Milkha Singh to understand his character better and his speech pattern.
