Ek Main aur Ekk tu is gaining quite a bit of USP through its unusual pairing between Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan. The duo looks cute together, however it cannot be forgotten that the heroine is quite a bit older than the hero. However, the look still sort of works, as in the trailers, it has been shown that Kareena is a bit older than Imran. The film is a story quite similar to movies where people get drunk, end up married, and then try hopelessly to untangle the problem they have created in their drunkenness.

Karan Johar feels that the unusual pairing between Kareena and Imran is going to work out just fine. Earlier in 2010 Imran pulled off a hit with Sonam Kapoor in I Hate Luv Storys, and also he did well in 2011's low budget Delhi Belly. There is strong hope that in this movie there would be a good amount of positive chemistry between the lead pair and as the movie would be releasing during February, around the Valentine week there would be much hype spread and apparently the marketing team would be doing some serious work on the film to promote it to its level best.
