'Mehngai Dayan Khaayi Jaawt hai?' when the song comes up, the film is already a hit in the mind of the audience. For who can actually look away from this film without realizing that this is what India is all about, where the film is definitely made 'of the people, for the people and by the people'. Hats off to Anusha Rizvi for making such a brilliant movie which would make you think, and at the same time provide you with a story so intensely Indian that it becomes a full-time entertainer.

Peepli Live is a tale which talks about two farmers who are absolutely down on their luck and are about to commit suicide. Natha, a poor farmer, is about to commit it because he knows that if he dies, he would be getting some money for his family.

And thus begins a tale that is sensationalized, blown out of proportions and hyped by the media and politics and society enters what was supposed to be an entirely personal drama. And this is why Peepli Live is such an incredible social satire that would make you understand the selfishness and the calculation of the entire incident. A must watch!
