What happens when you take a classic and give it to Abbas Mustan' Well, the results can go either way; but if its good, its very very good, and if its bad, its horrible, and unfortunately Players has got the second title. The problem with Abbas Mustan's plot, apparently bought and adapted from 'The Italian Job' is the cast and the script, an insipid story which does not have much to hold it, and a cast filled with wooden-faced actors and overuse of rubber masks which makes this story pretty much intolerable. Cut to the story, you would be horrified to know that there is not much into it. At least, most of what is going to happen on screen has been borrowed or stolen (from other films and stories) and the cast does not help at all. In fact the actors seem to be totally unsure of their characters, and Abhishek Bachchan once again takes the prize for acting in a way which is really not creditable to an experienced actor who has been around Bollywood for 10 years. The one bright spot in the story can be Bipasha who does look great and can act; on the other hand Sonam fails in that department totally though she looks nice.
