Amole Gupte does it again with his beautiful film Stanley Ka Dabba. The movie is not just a beautiful story; it is perfectly shot and wonderfully done in all senses. Truly, with weird, gory and somewhat irritating movies that are on offer nowadays, Stanley Ka Dabba stands out for being a pure wonder. And the story and direction of this movie is indeed wonderfully done by this actor-writer, what will make you see are the tiny details. Of course, the initial concept of Taare Zameen Par is definitely here, with the concept of the teachers not pausing to think before foisting their own concepts on the hapless students? heads and never caring what they understand and rather concentrating on what they should be. The greatness of the script lies in the second half which brings all the loose ends together and makes the film a very entertaining watch. What also stand out are the songs of the film, especially the Dabba Song, which talks about how the Tiffin boxes are prepared lovingly at each house. What also makes an impact is the performance from debutant Partho who takes the majority of accolade for being Stanley, the adorable introvert.
