There have been times when films have been copied, scene by scene, from other films. The event is not at all unusual and something that is quite acceptable in Indian films. However, the stakes are perhaps high this time as the fingers have been pointed at the film Bachelor Party which is the new movie with Asif Ali, Prithviraj, Indrajith, Rahman and Kalabhavan Mani acting in it. Apparently the rumor around Kollywood goes that the film is a copy of the popular Hollywood movie The Hangover, which was a major laugh riot a few years back.

The star cast and the plot direction which has been already released add to the idea. There has been quite a bit of rumor going on around the town about the film. However, the director of the film Amal Neerad was definitely not going to open his mouth about it. Instead he insisted that he wanted the audience to find out when the film releases because he thought that otherwise the fun of the film as well as the plot construct would be ruined and everyone who are speculating would be able to come to a conclusion. This answer further adds to the rumors.
