It looks like there would be another film made with the name Amar Akbar Antony, and no, in this one Amitabh Bachhan, Vinod Khanna or Rishi Kapoor would not be one of the stars. The new film would also not be the aborted David Dhawan venture with the Khan brothers in it. It looks like this new film would be made by the famous Malayalam actor Jagadeesh.

Jagadeesh has finally finished off the script of the movie, and now he would be beginning the shoot with gusto. The film features Mammootty in the lead, and though the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized, the film shooting would be beginning soon. The hunt for the heroine for this film is on.

The dialogues are being written by the prolific writer Krishna Poojappura, who has previously written films like Happy Husbands and Ivar Vivahitharayal and he would be assisting Jagadeesh with the script.

Jagadeesh is glad to be doing a film like that. He declared that he had always wanted to direct a film, and with Amar Akbar Antony he would be fulfilling this wish of his, and experimenting with the script a bit.
