The direction for the terse film Kandahar has begun its initial shoot in the raw interiors of Dehradun. The film is going to be directed by Major Ravi, and it features Amitabh Bachhan and Mohanlal in it.

The film also stars Ganesh Venkatram, who is a relatively new but a successful actor. The film is definitely going to be a complete action adventure flick. The film has taken off from June 10th at the Indian Military Academy.

The director has already shot considerable parts of the film, and Sreekumar was spotted in one of the scenes. Another shoot would happen at the beautiful locations of Ooty, where a considerable part of the film would be shot as well.

Soon, Amitabh Bachhan would be joining the sets for a brief shoot, while Mohanlal would join immediately after he finishes the final work with Christian Brothers which is one of the most anticipated films of this year in Malayalam. Both are running a tight schedule, and as a result getting dates are becoming increasingly difficult. But in all, the film Kandahar would finish shoot by September if all goes well. The film would be released later.
