Kerala Release Bandh Stalls Oru Naal Varum

Oru Naal Varum and Nallavan has not been released on Friday, it seems. The reason is the decision of the film distributors association who have made sure that there is a Release Bandh in Kerala, that would make sure that no new releases happen this week. This has pushed the dates of Oru Naal Varum even further back. Starring Mohanlal, Sreenivasan and Sameera Reddy, and directed by Rajiv Kumar, the film was slated to open in May, but it got delayed and further delayed, to the point when the film has now been slated for a July release. This is indeed disappointing news for the cast and crew of the movie.

Mohanlal's last film was the flick Alexander the Great which was a box office failure, and it did not impress anyone. This is why he needs a hit film desperately, as distributors are talking about Mohanlal?s inability to draw out the crowd and give a hit all by his own self. He needs this film to bring back his lost confidence. Unfortunately, this seems to be a bad time for him.

The other film that has got postponed is Aji John's flick Nallavan with Jayasuriya in it.
