There are times when egos can clash between two actors and often enough we have seen an actor criticizing another and disapprove on the basis of some idle comments made. This was made by Jagathy Sreekumar recently when he heard about the way Asif Ali has been singing his praises. Asif had been hailed as one of the best new stars of Mollywood, and though recently his film did not work out too well, he has been noted for his looks and style and featured by critics.

Recently Asif was extremely complementary about Jagathy Sreekumar and talked about his dedication in the sets, where he generally refused to carry a cell phone to not disturb the sets. Asif Ali told the media that this was something he respected and followed. However, Jagathy, when told about this, retaliated that though Asif Ali has picked up a habit like that it did not necessarily make him a dedicated or a good actor. He also added that Asif needed to improve a lot in his roles if he wanted to go further. Jagathy also added that he had seen the films Asif has made and he was left unimpressed.
