A group of obnoxious relatives decide to make sure their 'rich' brother gives them money in repayment of supposed family togetherness and pleasant attitude can sum up the plot of Kunjaliyan in just one line. However, the problem of this film is not the script, which is absurd in its own rights, but the utter nonsense that the actors themselves dose out without any compunction. The hero does not help as well and Jayasuriya, who was quite good in his previous movie, makes us unhappy with his performance in this one. Ananya is okay in her role which has been thrust upon her, and MG Sreekumar has taken the music to a new low level in this film. When Saji Surendran and Krishna Poojappura teamed up with Indrajith, a plot that would be quite irritating and ridiculous was on the cards. However, what was not on the cards was the sheer obnoxiousness of the film which had actors who were over the top to say the least. In the age where we all are aware of natural acting this kind of heavy handed acting which would not tickle your funny bone but would rather make you raise your eyebrow at the skits and jokes which seem to be dated and boring.
