Though recently Mollywood has been suffering immensely under the hands of the different components of the industry which is not pleased about the way the audience has slowly stopped going to the cinemas and expected a lot of known faces in their movies.

However, it looks like in January 2012, a new wave is going to crash into Mollywood and a lot of new films would be releasing. This month would see two big releases during the end of it, with Mohanlal's Cassanovva which has finally gone into the end production and is supposed to be released on the 26th of the month catching the Republic Day crowd. The other film which would be releasing is Spanish Masala which would be released on the 20th of January. Apart from this quite a few other films are releasing, like Orkut which has released along with Asuravithu and Kunjaliyan. The other film which is due to be released mid-January is the film Padmasri Bharath Dr. Sarojkumar that has been scheduled as well.

Though distributors are still not happy with the films that are being released it is still heartening to see Mollywood trying to make a profit with the films.
