It looks like Nayanthara has got her hands full in Malayalam cinema this year. Working simultaneously in both the Tamil flick Boss Engira Bhaskaran and the Malayalam movie Electra she has been roped into other stories which would soon begin shoot. Already, she has finished off her Onam release, which is Electra that features Prakash Raj, Manisha Koirala as her parents, and she would be a character that is taken from the Greek play Electra by Aeschylus.

The film would be showing the turbulent relationship between a father and a daughter and the subsequent consequences of the relationship.

Also, the other film that is coming her way is Adoor Gopalakrishnan's new movie Mathilukalkkappruam which is the sequel to the film Mathilukal which would be directed by Prasad who is a first-time director. Nayan would be playing the role of the woman prisoner Narayani in the film. Also, Mammootty would be playing a significant role, which is Basheer, the same role he did once before. Mammootty's Basheer had previously earned him a National Award for the role. The film would be produced by Play House which is Mammootty?s own production, and the sound would be given by Resul Pookutty.
