A new film has been launched recently on the 2nd of January at Chalakudy. This movie has been named Outsider and it would be an action based drama movie with a lot of intense emotions as the lead character would be a man who has been an outcast and the movie is based on his life and times. The film has got Premlal as the director, whose previous movie Aatmakatha was an exceptionally well-made movie with Sreenivasan in it. Premlal would be using Sreenivasan in this film as well and the other important members of the cast include Indrajith as well as Pashupathi who would be working in major roles too.

The movie launch was held with a small ceremony and the ritualistic blessing being given to the movie. In the mean time there was Sreenivasan who kept the audience entertained with his witty comments and magnetic charm. The film is going to have music composed by talented music director Sangeeth, and it would be produced with the Gowri Meenakshi Movies banner. The shoot of the film has officially begun and the rumor is that the film would finish shooting within a short time and this would be a mid-2012 release.
