It seems that the hit formula which worked fantastically in Pokkiri Raja a while back can be back soon in Bollywood and enchant the entire nation. The movie rights of Pokkiri Raja have been sold recently and apparently the film is going to be remade with Akshay Kumar playing the role of Mammootty in it. A larger than life character was needed to play the role originally made for Mammootty and Akshay Kumar seems to be the perfect man for the job.

The film would be remade into Nam Bhai Boss and it would have Imran Abbas in it, who is a Pakistani actor debuting in Hindi films, playing the role originally played by Prithviraj. This means he would have a very meaty role during the first half of the film, and as the script has not been changed much except what is necessary to make it more believable to the masses, it is going to be a total entertainer directed by Antony D?Souza who previously did the movie Blue. The film is supposed to be released during Christmas 2012 or January 2013. In this film Akshay would be playing a totally commercial role tailor made for him.
