When he starred in one of the multi-lingual Mani Ratnam movie Raavanan, we all thought it would be a few days before he got an offer from a Bollywood producer which he would not be able to refuse. However, Prithviraj frankly had told the media before that he had received offers from Bollywood and he had no intentions of going. But maybe it is the charm of Rani Mukherji which brought him around finally, because it looks like Prithvi is going to star against Bollywood heartthrob Rani in the new movie.

At present the pre-production of the film has begun. Close sources revealed that Prithvi i would be acting in the role of a young man who is South Indian, and he would be speaking Hindi but with a pronounced accent which is distinctively South Indian. On the other hand, Rani would be playing the role of a Mumbai based girl who has a funny love relationship with Prithviraj. Produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Sachin Kundalkar the movie would begin shoot from the first week of October, 2011.

The film has been named Aiyya and it would be a sweet love story and it had Prithvi intrigued. Anurag Kashyap had apparently approached him with the script and he liked it so much that he decided to do the film.
