Prithviraj is high on demand after his film Pokkiri Raja and Villain received a lot of attention from the media. And now the actor would be working in a new film which would be made by Viji Thambi.

The producer of the film would be prolific Malayalam industry person Renjith Rajaputra and the film would be based on a patriotic story of Velu Thampi Dalava. Velu Thampi was the prime minister of the secluded state of Travancore, and he was an eminent politician and freedom fighter. His rebellion against the East India Company won him a golden place in the history of India. The film would be a real life tracing of this brave warrior and politician and it would be slightly dramatized but mostly kept the same as historical facts. The story would see Prithviraj in designed garments that date back from the early 1800s, when Velu Thampi Dalava used to reign as the prime minister to the king of Travancore.

The film would make sure Prithviraj has his foot firmly secured in the real historical films department, and after Pazhassi Raja by Mammootty, this would be Prithviraj's take on history.
