The film Rajavinte Makan would be having a sequel it seems. The epic story of the film won many a critical acclaim, and the role of the actor Mohanlal made it very clear that he was in Mollywood to stay. The film showed Mohanlal in a role where he dealt with the crime underworld and delved deep into it.

Mohanlal's role as Vincent Gomez was a well known and well loved role, and it shot him to stardom. The result was great, when Thampi Kannanthanam was also well received and the script by Dennis Joseph was a hit. The film had quite a few popular songs as well.

And it looks like the film would now have a sequel, according to the director of the film, Thampi Kannanthanam, who claimed that it was high time, and he was interested in doing a second part of this epic film. The film would again have the character of Vincent Gomez, and it would be played by Mohanlal again. Thampi claimed that there was no other man who could play such a difficult role which dealt deeply with the underworld, and only Mohanlal is suitable for the job.
