The launch of the music of the movie Attakathi was held in Chennai at Sathyam Cinemas recently. The event was attended by Kollywood big wigs who were really pleased to be at the event and thought that the film would do well. Through this film Dinesh would be stepping into Kollywood and with him Nandhitha would be seen in the movie, who has primarily been seen in Kannada movies. The film would be a Chennai-based realistic drama with a lot of suspense and action in it.

The film has been made by CV Kumar and directed by Ranjith. The event was held in a grand manner and the audience warmed to the songs which were screened. There were several known faces seen including Rajesh, Abirami Ramanathan, SP Charan, PL Thenappan, Kalaipuli Thanu and the DGM Of NFDC. The event also saw a lot of enthusiasm from the audience. The director said that the film encapsulated a lot of the anger and aggressive nature that North Chennai portrays and with this movie they tried to make sure they have that captured in the film. The audio launch was made by Venkat Prabhu who used to have the director as his assistant and he felt proud to be a part of this event.
