The actor Murali died on the 8th of September because of a heart failure. The actor who has done several films as the hero was only forty-six years of age. He is survived by his son Adharva, daughter Kaavya and his wife Shobha who are deeply shocked and traumatized by this sudden accident. Murali has had a good film life, right from his first movie Poovilangu which was a great success. Making his debut with this film, he then went ahead to do several good movies like Puthu Vasantham, Thanga Manusukkaran, Poomani, Idhayam, En Asai Machan, Desiya Geetham, Ali Thanda Vanam, and Samuthiram.

The actor then decided to do character roles and he excelled there as well. He did the film Anandam with Lingusamy which garnered him critical acclaim and was a huge box office hit. For his role in Kadal Pookal he won the Best Actor Award in Tamil Nadu during the year 2001. The film Baan Kathaadi was the last film where he was seen, which also was the debut movie of his son Adharva.
