Top director Shankar was excited about the release of his new movie Nanban on the 12th of January 2012. He claimed that the film is going to be a total entertainment for the entire family and he believed that everyone will love the movie and appreciate the hard work that has gone into making it. Also he said that the performances given by Vijay, Jiiva and Sathyaraj would be worth remembering. After the super charged performance he gave in his previous two movies, Kaavalan and Velayudham, Vijay is all set to make a hat trick with the release of Nanban and fans are thinking that with this movie beginning 2012 Vijay would have an excellent run as well. Next up would be Thupakki which would have Vijay acting with AR Murugadoss.
Shankar was genial and sure about his film, and though this is his first time trying to make a remake, he said that he believed that the film was going to be a success. He was also sporting enough to apparently call up Lingusamy, the maker of Vettai and wished him and his team all the best and that really made Lingusamy extremely happy, and he said that Shankar was a wonderful director and person.
