What would the director Shankar do after he is done with his epic film Endhiran? Why, he is going to make a new movie! Reports go that as soon as Shankar finishes off with the movie he would begin a new one, and this one would feature Vijay in the lead. Yes, we are talking about the remake of the film 3 Idiots which Shankar would be doing once he is done with this one and the role of Aamir Khan would be played by Vijay.

Also the film would be remade in Telegu where Mahesh Babu would replace Vijay in the lead. The film also features Illeana, top Telegu star, in the role that was originally played by Kareena Kapoor. Prakash Raj is supposed to do the role of Virus, played in the film by Boman Irani, though there are chances Sathyaraj might also get selected for the role.

Shankar said that he would like to wrap up with Endhiran pretty soon, and then he would be doing this film immediately so that it could be his offering for early next year. The director also has other projects in the pipeline for his own production house.
