The problem that has been steadily happening in Tamil film industry is a list of big films eating up the market for the small fries. However, the Tamil Film Industry producers and other important administrative members were in a big meeting on the 23rd of January and came to the conclusion that there should be more allowances made for small budget films.

As there are over 22 films on a small scale just waiting on the wings to be released, the producers have decided to leave out the big names for the festive season. This means that according to the decisions of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), films like Saguni and 3 would be postponed for an April release. Though both the films were going to be released in February, now it seems that they would be not allowed to be released before the next festive season comes along. This also means Ajith with his Billa 2 would be scheduled for a May release as well. The producer's council firmly reprimanded those who tried to oppose this decision and said that this was for the benefit of the small budget movies which otherwise do not have a chance to be screened.
