Vettai Movie Review

One of the most anticipated movies of the year 2012, and Vettai does it once again. A film which works on a single principle which has been tried and tested through the ages, Vettai still retains a charm and beautiful quality about it which sets it apart from the rest and primordially this is perhaps because of the superb casting that has been done in it.

What sets Vettai apart is the story line which is about two brothers who love each other though they are diametrically different. The older one is serious and the younger one quite carefree. They choose separate life paths and through that they slowly drift apart. The casting of Arya and Madhavan is spot on, with Madhavan portraying the slightly more serious older brother and Arya as the fun loving younger one quite well.

On the other hand, both Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul do their job well in the roles they are assigned. Ashutosh Rana is commendable too, and the music is a compliment to the story as well as the stunts which are quite well done. However, the plot would keep you gripping the edge of your seat to the last moment with the drama. A great watch!
