This season must be a great one for the two filmmakers, Shankar and Lingusamy. They have stumbled upon a new rule in the legislature which allows them to file a particular application which when gets approved can give them a tax exemption. This way the two films have received tax exemption this year, and it looks like a lot of other movies are going to follow suit soon. Apparently according to a new rule, if a film is rated by the censor board, has got relevant Tamil Nadu related matter in it, and upholds the state and its clean nature and represents it in a good and right manner then if the panel thinks it is fit for getting a tax exemption, the film gets it. Around 22 famous personalities from around the state decide on it and give the film the stamp of approval. This year already Nanban and Vettai has got that stamp and both films are running successfully all over the state. Vettai has recently released with around 300 screens in Tamil Nadu only, and overall it has been released in 550 screens globally. Shankar's film has also launched all over the world in a huge number of screens.
