After a major hunt for a heroine for Venkatesh in the new film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu it looks like it is finally at an end as Anjali has been selected for the role. Initially there was quite a few different popular names selected for the role of the heroine who would play opposite Venkatesh including Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan and Amala Paul, and Amala was selected and signed up as well. However, all of a sudden the news came that Amala Paul was not doing the film after all, and despite the photo shoots already commenced, she walked out.

Following that quite a few popular actresses were chosen. However, when they realized that in the film they would be cast against Venkatesh while being Mahesh Babu's sister-in-law they all backed off. This film has got two heroes, and Mahesh Babu has already got Samantha as his heroine. Venkatesh was finally cast opposite Anjali, the girl who wowed us with her innocent beauty and sweet acting in Engeyum Eppodhum. This would be a big break for the girl in Tollywood, and she was selected for her availability as well and she told the media she was happy to do a role like that.
