After the way Dabangg and Osthe has been doing in the box office much hype is currently around the Telugu version of the film which has been successfully named 'Gabbar Singh'. The title of the movie has been taken from the name of the famous villain in the film Sholay and the hero is going to sport it as it seems.

Pawan Kalyan would be the hero of the film and he would be playing the role originally made for Salman Khan in the Abhinav Kashyap film. The story of the movie would be slightly modified to suit the taste of the Andhra Pradesh audience and already a lot of the shoot has completed in and around Tamil Nadu, where a considerable amount of filming was done in Pollachi. The film is supposed to finish shooting by March and it would be releasing somewhere in April, possibly during the end of April.

The film has been produced by Bandla Ganesh and directed by Harish Shankar. The role of the heroine is being played by Shruthi Haasan, and at present talks are on about presenting a totally hot item number that would rival 'Munni Badnaam' in the film.
