Movie Review Bejawada

What looked great on the dad did not work out too well for the son. Bejawada promised to be so much more than it actually produced and despite the controversies and the huge hype about RGV getting death threats over the movie the film fell flat and that is possibly because of the hero who is just not right for the role.

So we were at first promised a stripping revenge drama much in the lines of the hard hitting Ram Gopal Varma style, but we are left with a movie which attempts to go commercial and realistic at the same time and ends up looking fake. The problem with the movie is a script which is barely kept together and there are situations and incidents which are actually absurd, and to some extent, irritating. A film that begins as a revenge drama about a young man trying to avenge his brother ends up looking a farce thanks to poor direction. The director has also not been able to do justice to the role of the heroine, who, all said and done, does a good role. Amala Paul shows that she has a strong screen presence, and she is memorable through this otherwise rather silly script.
