Trust Samudra to spoil a show. The formula which worked for Arundhati was given by one of the oldest hand in the game, but to copy it was brilliantly stupid of the director. And Panchakshari is one of those films which would leave you cold. Even Anushka, who would go down the books of film history, thanks to her performance in Vedam has left us cold. The film has virtually nothing to offer, no good song and a script which can be called rural at best. The film is a hotchpotch of different concepts and notions, and the half and hour long graphics that were promised proved to be amateurish at best. The plot is just bad, and we might wonder what Samudra was thinking. The comic bits lack the right timing, and there is a serious lack of plot formation. The film is about a young business woman called Honey who has a lookalike called Panchakshari who is murdered while she is chased by goons on the hunt for hidden treasure. Of course, it is up to Honey to take revenge. With a script like that, no wonder it was a painful watch all through.
