Once again a historical religious figure has been chosen as the central character of a film and a biopic would be made based on the life and times of the Sai Baba of Shirdi. The graceful character who inspired thousands of people would be brought to life in the hands of top actor Nagarjuna in Tollywood who is happy that he was selected for the role. He was also aware that this time the topic of choice is slightly different from the rest yet no less intriguing. The director of the film is hopeful that they would be able to begin the shoot for the film from the 2nd of February 2012.

Nagarjuna previously played characters like Ramadasu and Annamaya so this is not so new to him. His character and persona matches Sai Baba quite a bit so that is an advantage as well. Director K. Raghavendra Rao was extremely positive about the character and the role, and told the media that he thought that Naga could do justice to the role properly and bring out the emotional aspects of the character of Sai Baba perfectly. Apparently the photo shoots of the film has proved extremely good casting.
